On the morning of October 12th, the signing ceremony and exchange symposium for the joint training base of graduate students between the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering at Hefei University of Technology and State Grid Anhui Provincial Electric Power Co., Ltd. Economic and Technical Research Institute were held in Room 1009 of the Yifu Building. Both parties will engage in deep cooperation in talent cultivation, development strategies, shared laboratory construction, and joint technological research in the field of new power system planning and operation.

The attendees of this meeting included Dong Pan, Director of the Economic and Technical Research Institute of State Grid Anhui Provincial Electric Power Co., Ltd., Jinma Sheng, Director of the Comprehensive Management Department, Cheng Ge, Director of the Planning and Finance Department, Shili Liu, Director of the Technology and Economy Center, Xiaoming Wu, Director of the Design Center, Bao Wang, Director of the Strategic Research Center, Nianwen Xiang, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Sun Wei, Vice President of the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, and Associate Professor Yang Hejun of the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xiang Nianwen, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering.

The Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering Nianwen Xiang, on behalf of the college, warmly welcomed the visit and signing of the agreement by Director Pan Dong and his delegation. He expressed gratitude for the continuous support of State Grid Anhui Economic and Technical Research Institute to the work of the college. The Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering Nianwen Xiang introduced the historical development, faculty strength, characteristics of disciplinary development, and research platform resources of the college. He also emphasized the good foundation and willingness for cooperation between the two parties, and expressed the expectation for full communication and maximum resource mobilization to promote mutual development.

Dong Pan, Director of State Grid Anhui Economic and Technical Research Institute, introduced the development level, relevant work, and platform construction of the institute. He also analyzed the prospects for renewable energy development, future grid structure, and the challenges and development trends in achieving the "dual carbon" targets. He expressed the hope that through the construction of the joint training base and joint technological research, the advantages of integration between industry and education can be utilized to promote mutual development and win-win cooperation between the two parties.

During the subsequent signing ceremony, Nianwen Xiang, the Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Dong Pan, the Director of State Grid Anhui Economic and Technical Research Institute jointly signed the "Agreement on the Joint Training Base of Graduate Students between the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering at Hefei University of Technology and State Grid Anhui Provincial Electric Power Co., Ltd. Economic and Technical Research Institute." Additionally, enterprise mentors and student representatives signed the "Contract for Graduate Student Mentorship" to signify the cooperation between the two parties entering a new stage.

After the signing ceremony, both the university and the enterprise put forward suggestions and ideas for the construction of the joint training base, talent cultivation, project applications, and technological research. They emphasized the intention to collaborate on laboratory sharing and joint technological research in energy dispatching and low-carbon management technology. Consensus was reached to strengthen regular communication mechanisms, explore a professional training system for power technology professionals that combines theory with practice, plan for effective work in the next phase, and strive to promote coordinated development and win-win cooperation between the two parties.
